As the face of the restaurant, you will create a warm and welcoming first impression while ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate is personable, attentive, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome every guest with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude. Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant's reservation system. Escort guests to their tables while maintaining an efficient seating flow. Coordinate seating arrangements with managers and servers to maximize service efficiency. Answer phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with reservations. Monitor dining room capacity and accurately communicate wait times to guests. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area. Assist guests with special requests, celebrations, and accessibility needs whenever possible. Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, bartenders, and managers to ensure smooth operations. Help maintain cleanliness throughout the front-of-house, including menus, entryway, and waiting area. Support the front-of-house team with additional duties as needed during busy service. Qualifications Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
