A Host or Hostess greets customers when they arrive at a restaurant. Manages reservations, seats customers, and helps wait staff as needed with attending to customer requests and service.
Common Ground Hospitality is seeking a friendly and organized Host to be the first point of contact in our dynamic dining environment. As a Host, you will set the tone for the guest experience, making a lasting impression with your welcoming demeanor and efficient service. This role is essential for managing the flow of our restaurant and ensuring guest satisfaction from the moment they enter our establishment.
Responsibilities:
Warmly greet guests upon arrival, providing a positive start to their dining experience. Manage waiting lists, efficiently handling guest seating. Maintain an organized and up-to-date floor plan of table arrangements and sections. Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction. Handle guest inquiries and provide accurate information about our menu and services. Assist in managing guest flow and restaurant capacity to maximize seating efficiency. Contribute to maintaining a clean and inviting entrance and lobby area. Collaborate with other staff members to provide a seamless dining experience. Support servers with restocking and organizing dining materials as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in a restaurant environment is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
