Job Description
Location Dover-Foxcroft, Maine Employment Type Full Time Work Arrangement Hybrid Schedule Full time, 40 hours per week. Benefits Eligibility Eligible Compensation $20.85-$29.19 per hour Job Overview Penquis is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator for the Host Homes Program to support youth and young adults facing housing insecurity. This role blends direct services, community outreach, host home recruitment, and statewide collaboration to support program participants in the Dover-Foxcroft area. Responsibilities Lead community outreach, Host Home recruitment, training, and support while providing direct services to program participants. Support youth and young adults ages 12 to 24 by identifying placements, connecting resources, and helping them work toward stability goals. Coordinate and implement YHDP activities, including recruitment of Host Home placements. Provide training opportunities for Host Home members. Identify youth participants in need of support and recruit them into the program. Network with schools, youth-serving providers, community groups, and public services to build program awareness. Participate in trainings and meetings, including statewide Continuum of Care and YHDP grantee meetings when assigned. Requirements Associate's degree and 2 to 3 years of experience volunteering and/or working with young people in self-advocacy, youth development, youth leadership, or direct social services. 1 to 2 years of documented experience working with children and families. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills. Ability to meet Penquis background-check requirements upon hire and periodically thereafter, with satisfactory results as required by current contract provisions.
