As a Host, you will create a positive first impression for our guests, manage reservations, and ensure smooth seating and guest flow. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help foster a memorable dining experience for every visitor. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing friendly and professional customer service Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using our table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Seat guests promptly, ensuring optimal table utilization and guest satisfaction Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assist with inquiries, and handle reservation requests Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth flow of service and guest relations Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness in the host area Requirements Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Organizational skills to manage waitlists and seating arrangements effectively Ability to stand, walk, and remain energetic for extended periods during shifts Food safety knowledge is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential Join us at Basement Burger Bar where your enthusiasm helps create memorable dining experiences!
