THE GREAT DANE PUB

The Great Dane Pub in downtown Royal Oak is looking for a friendly, dependable host or hostess to join our front-of-house team. The host is the first and last person our guests see, making this one of the most important positions in the pub. We're looking for someone who is warm, organized, confident and able to keep things moving during busy shifts. You should enjoy talking with people and take pride in making every guest feel genuinely welcome.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet every guest promptly and warmly Manage the waitlist and provide accurate wait-time estimates Seat guests efficiently while maintaining proper server rotation Answer the telephone and assist with basic guest questions Communicate clearly with servers, bartenders and managers Keep the entrance, host stand and waiting area clean and organized Check menus and seating areas for cleanliness Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return Assist the front-of-house team when needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR A

naturally friendly and welcoming personality Dependability and punctuality Strong communication and organizational skills The ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods A team-oriented attitude Neat, professional appearance Availability for evenings and weekends Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person

The Great Dane Pub is a locally owned British-inspired restaurant and pub in the heart of downtown Royal Oak. We serve elevated pub favorites in a warm, energetic atmosphere and believe great hospitality begins the moment a guest walks through the door.

Pay:

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
