Job Description

Job Title:
Sports Card Entertainer | Turn Your Hobby Into the Best Seat in the
House Company:
Mount Olympus Rips Location:
Plymouth, MN ( 100% On-Site )
Schedule:
Full-Time or Part-Time | Days, Evenings, Nights & Weekends (Schedule TBD)
Compensation:
$50 Per Hour Want the Best Seat in the House? Show Us You Belong in It. Along with your application, record a 2-4 minute mock sports card break on your phone and email the video to tom@ontimetalent.com . Treat the camera like you're live on Whatnot . Show us your personality, energy, sports knowledge, and card knowledge while opening or showcasing cards you already own. Talk through the players, rookies, products, parallels, autos, numbered cards, SSPs, case hits, and chasers you recognize while keeping the audience entertained. No editing. No professional setup. Phone video, one take. Show us what you'd be like with the cards—and the camera—in front of you. Most Collectors Pay to Experience the Hobby. What If the Hobby Paid You? Think about how much time you've spent around sports cards. Watching breaks. Checking comps. Following new releases. Hunting retail. Buying into PYTs. Opening hobby boxes. Watching someone else rip a case of National Treasures or Flawless and wondering what it would be like to be sitting in that chair. For most collectors, that's the hobby. At Mount Olympus Rips, that could be your job. We're hiring a Sports Card Entertainer to sit in one of the best seats in the hobby—live on Whatnot , ripping incredible product, talking sports, interacting with collectors, and getting paid $50 per hour to create a show around something you already love. Your Office Has a Lot More Wax Than Most. One night, you could be ripping Prizm Football . Then National Treasures Basketball . Then Bowman Chrome Baseball . Maybe it's Flawless , Immaculate , Topps Chrome , Obsidian , or Select . And somewhere inside that product could be the card everyone has been waiting for. A Downtown . A Kaboom! A Color Blast . A Gold Vinyl . A Superfractor . Or the 1-of-1 nobody expected to see that night. Except this time, you're not watching someone else pull it. You're the one holding the card when the room explodes. That's the job. The Cards Give You Something to Open. You Give People Something to Watch. We're not paying someone $50 an hour because they're capable of opening a pack of cards. We're looking for someone who can make the entire experience entertaining. You'll host live sports card breaks on Whatnot , talk sports, interact with chat, recognize important cards, create anticipation, celebrate huge pulls, and build relationships with collectors who keep coming back. Some nights, the cards will do half the work for you. Other nights, they won't. That's when a great breaker earns their money. Can you keep people entertained between hits? Can you talk NFL while you're sorting through a football break? Do you know enough about the NBA to immediately recognize why a rookie matters? Can you talk prospects during Bowman? Can you make someone buying into their very first break feel just as important as the customer who's there every night? That's what separates opening cards from hosting a show . You Should Already Speak the Language. If we say RPA , you shouldn't have to Google it. If someone asks whether a card is numbered, you're already checking. If a Gold /10 comes out, you understand why it matters. You know SSPs, case hits, refractors, parallels, on-card autos, patch autos, comps, PSA 10s, pop reports, PYTs, Random Teams, rookie variations, Downtowns, Kabooms, Genesis, Manga, Color Wheels, Black Finite, and Superfractors . You don't need to know every card ever produced. But you should be someone who actually participates in the hobby . Because collectors know immediately when the person opening their cards doesn't. What You'll Get Paid to Do Host live sports card breaks on Whatnot Rip premium NFL, NBA, and MLB products Interact with collectors from across the country Talk sports, cards, players, products, and the hobby Recognize major rookies, parallels, autos, SSPs, numbered cards, and case hits Create anticipation around every break Bring energy and personality to the camera Celebrate monster pulls with customers Build relationships with regular viewers Keep the room entertaining even when you're between big hits Stay current on new releases, rookie classes, player news, and hobby trends Develop your own style and personality as a breaker And while you're doing that, our team is working behind the scenes handling the operational side of the business. You Get to Focus on the Fun Part. Who Are We Looking For? Maybe you've been collecting since you were a kid. Maybe you got back into cards during the hobby boom and never left. Maybe you're already buying, selling, grading, trading, attending shows, or jumping into breaks every week. Maybe you've even thought: "I could be better than the person I'm watching right now." Good. We want to talk to you. We're interested in sports card collectors, breakers, Whatnot sellers, content creators, streamers, broadcasters, podcasters, salespeople, former athletes, coaches, and naturally entertaining sports fanatics . Your professional background doesn't necessarily have to scream "sports cards." But when we start talking about the hobby, your knowledge needs to show up quickly. And when the camera turns on, your personality needs to show up even faster. Yes, It's $50 an Hour to Open Sports Cards. But there's a reason. This isn't your personal rip. You're representing Mount Olympus Rips in front of customers who are spending real money and trusting us with their experience. We need someone who can combine hobby knowledge, customer service, entertainment, salesmanship, and authenticity for hours at a time. Someone who doesn't need a script to be interesting. Someone who understands why the cards matter. Someone who can make a customer feel like they just hit the biggest card in the world. Someone we'd want to watch ourselves. Most People Will Never Open This Much Product. That's part of what makes this opportunity different. Instead of watching someone else rip the products you love, you could be sitting on the other side of the camera. Talking sports. Opening cards. Hitting monsters. Building relationships with collectors. And getting paid $50 per hour to do it. For the right sports card fanatic, it's pretty hard to find a better seat in the house. Think You Belong in It? Don't just tell us. Show us. Record your 2-4 minute mock break and email the video to tom@ontimetalent.com along with a little about your sports card background, the products you know best, and your experience with breaking, Whatnot, buying, selling, grading, streaming, or collecting. Mount Olympus Rips The cards are already waiting. We need the personality to open them.
Pay:
$400.00 per day Application Question(s): To apply: Email tom@ontimetalent.com with a quick note about your sports card knowledge, on-camera confidence, and why you love being the one talking, hosting, and entertaining. Please record a 2-4 minute video on your phone showing us how you would host a live sports card break. You can use cards or packs you already own—we're more interested in seeing how you perform than the product itself. Treat the camera as if you're live on Whatnot with customers watching and buying into the break. Show us your personality, energy, sports knowledge, and ability to keep viewers entertained while discussing the cards you're revealing. Demonstrate your knowledge of the hobby, including rookies/prospects, parallels, numbered cards, autographs, SSPs, case hits, chaser cards, or other significant pulls.
Bonus:
Pretend you just hit one of the biggest cards in the product. Show us how you'd react and explain why it's a big hit. No editing or professional setup needed—phone video, one take. Send us the video file when complete.
