Job Summary We are looking for a friendly and energetic Daytime Hostess to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this role, you'll be the welcoming face that greets guests, manages reservations, and ensures a smooth flow of seating and guest relations during busy daytime hours. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and passionate about creating a positive dining experience for every guest. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize table turnover. Manage restaurant reservations using our table management systems, ensuring accurate booking and waitlist updates. Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management to coordinate seating and special requests. Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or reservations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station, including menus and reservation logs. Support guest services by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously. Assist in managing POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservation check-ins and billing when needed. Experience Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required. Experience with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities are essential. Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and billing support. Previous food service experience helps in understanding restaurant operations and guest relations. Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently. Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial to ensure smooth coordination with the kitchen team.
