HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner Accurately process payments for food and beverage purchases Follow all cash handling procedures and internal controls Respond to guest inquiries and escalate concerns when needed Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and team members Maintain a clean and organized work area
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six months to One year of previous cashier experience preferred. Literacy and fluency in Vietnamese or Chinese Language a plus. Good communication skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and employees. Must be at least 18 years of age. Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently. Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements. Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah's Gulf Coast Team Members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:
Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to preform these operations using units of American money. Available to work any shift, holidays and weekends. Ability to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor. Responds to visual and aural cues. Ability to stand for 8 hours. Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to stoop, reach and bend as necessary. Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
