Job Description
Main Responsibilities1. Greeting Guests Welcome guests as they arrive Provide a friendly first impression of the establishment Answer basic questions about the menu, wait times, or services 2. Managing Reservations Take and confirm reservations (phone, online, or in person) Organize booking schedules Handle walk-ins and waiting lists 3. Seating Guests Escort guests to their tables Provide menus Ensure tables are clean and ready Rotate seating fairly among servers 4. Coordinating with Staff Communicate with servers and kitchen staff Inform guests about wait times Handle special requests (high chairs, accessibility needs, celebrations) 5. Maintaining the Front Area Keep the entrance tidy and welcoming Manage the waiting area Sometimes handle coat check or light administrative tasks
