Job Summary Join our vibrant hospitality team as a Restaurant Host/Hostess, where your warm personality and organizational skills set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Your energetic approach to guest relations will help create a lively, friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. You will manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and assist with guest inquiries to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Greet guests with enthusiasm and professionalism, creating a positive first impression. Manage restaurant reservation systems and seating charts to optimize table turnover and guest flow. Answer phone calls promptly, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and menu options while maintaining excellent phone etiquette. Coordinate with the dining team to assign tables and monitor waitlists using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Assist guests with seating preferences and special requests to enhance their dining experience. Maintain organized front-of-house operations, including managing guest waitlists and ensuring timely seating. Support food safety standards by understanding basic food handling procedures when necessary. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant environment. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS. Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear interpersonal interactions. Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism. Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlist calculations, and billing procedures if needed. Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for delivering outstanding guest services is essential. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
