Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and hospitality, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a passion for guest relations. As the first point of contact, the Host plays a vital role in ensuring a positive dining or guest experience, managing reservations, and maintaining smooth operations at the front entrance of our establishment. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements Manage waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as SpotOn POS Toast POS and yelp guest manager Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests during busy periods Maintain a clean and organized host stand area Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide information about services or wait times Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless guest flow Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously, fostering positive guest relations Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness and presentation of the front-of-house area Support other restaurant or hospitality team members as needed to deliver exceptional guest service Experience Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in food service is preferred Experience in restaurant operations, including guest services, serving, or hospitality roles is advantageous Familiarity with POS systems such as SpotOn POS or Toast POS is a plus Hotel or guest relations experience can be beneficial Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest interaction skills, are essential Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance
