Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations while practicing proper phone etiquette Coordinate seating arrangements, monitor wait times, and manage guest flow to optimize table turnover Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area and waiting list logs Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and provide exceptional guest relations to enhance overall satisfaction Requirements Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Basic math skills for handling reservations and guest counts accurately Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette Previous experience in customer service or guest relations roles is advantageous Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.
