Duties Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, assist with seating arrangements, and manage waitlists using restaurant table management systems such as POS. Handle restaurant reservation management efficiently, ensuring accurate booking and timely updates. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including resetting tables promptly for new guests. Support servers by clearing and resetting tables, delivering food and beverages when needed, and assisting with guest requests to enhance guest relations. Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing reservation information or directing inquiries appropriately while practicing excellent phone etiquette. Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper sanitation procedures during table clearing and setup. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and exceptional guest services at all times. Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles, demonstrating excellent guest relations and customer service skills. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems. Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating flow, and table turnover efficiently. Effective communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and handling phone communication professionally. Basic math skills for handling guest and POS transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe dining environment. Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and positive guest experiences.
