Duties Greet guests warmly with enthusiasm and professionalism, creating a positive first impression. Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times or reservations. Monitor guest flow during busy hours to optimize seating efficiency while ensuring guest comfort. Experience Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management. Background in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality enhances your ability to excel in this role. Familiarity with hotel guest services or serving roles can be beneficial for understanding guest expectations.
