Handle restaurant reservations accurately, confirming bookings via phone or online platforms, and updating schedules as needed. Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring all reservation and seating information is up-to-date. Process guest payments efficiently using POS systems, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments, while ensuring accuracy with basic math skills. Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries. Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously to enhance overall guest satisfaction. Support food safety standards by following proper procedures when handling cash and interacting with food service staff to ensure smooth operations. Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment. Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members. Exceptional organizational skills to manage reservations, seating plans, and cash register operations seamlessly. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with POS systems including Micros POS and Aloha POS for efficient checkout processes. Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction.
