Job Overview We are on the lookout for a welcoming and organized Host/Hostess to create a positive first impression for our guests. In this role, you'll manage reservations, greet visitors, and ensure smooth seating arrangements. Duties Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a comfortable dining experience. Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems. Experience with Toast POS preferred. Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times and reservation details while practicing excellent phone etiquette. Maintain organization of the waiting list and communicate effectively with guests about their status. Support the front-of-house team by coordinating table assignments and managing guest flow during busy hours. Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the host stand area, adhering to food safety standards. Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and provide exceptional guest services to foster positive relations. Skills Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on friendly customer interaction. Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Open Table is a plus. Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Basic math skills for managing reservations and seating calculations accurately. Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant table management tools. A hospitable attitude with a focus on guest relations, hospitality, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
