Job Overview The Original Pancake House in Strongsville is seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing seating chart, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. A passion for hospitality and excellent communication skills are essential to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Restaurant hours:

7am-230pm Must have weekend availability Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with seating options. Manage reservations and maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service. Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area. Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Provide exceptional customer service to enhance guest satisfaction. Utilize POS systems, such as Toast POS, for managing reservations and guest information. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; experience with Toast POS is highly desirable. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
