We are looking for part-time weekend hostess to supervise our waitstaff and serve residents and guests in our family-style dining room. As the hostess, you will make sure all waitstaff are on time and dressed properly. You will help our waitstaff to serve residents, communicate orders to our cooks, bus tables, reset the dining room, and may work in the dish room as needed. You will also help serve private reservations/parties and make sure our dining room is set properly, well kept, stocked, and at times, festivly decorated. Additional duties include helping residents and guests find a table, serve coffee, monitor our salad bar contents, and help residents with any questions or needs they may have. We are looking for an applicant to work through our lunch and dinner meal service. This is a part-time position that is excellent for someone looking for extra hours on the weekends, but has commitments during the week, or just simply wants to remain working or busy.

Requirements:

Serve residents and guests in a friendly, caring, positive fashion at all times Walk, bend, lift, reach, carry and hold on a continuous basis Work well with other team members but also have the ability to manage as needed. Lift or push up to 30 lbs as needed, or 50 lbs occasionally, with accommodation if needed Ability to communicate clearly in English with staff, residents, and visitors Willing to have a background check and be drug tested Food handler's certification (may be obtained after employment) Preference will be shown to candidates who enjoy working with older adults, candidates that have previous work or equivalent experience that demonstrates excellent customer service, and candidates willing to work holidays as assigned and can hopefully cover for the Dining Room Manager as needed.
