Job Summary We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will set the tone for an outstanding dining experience, managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating efficiently. Responsibilities Welcome guests with a positive attitude and provide excellent guest relations to ensure a memorable first impression Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, utilizing proper phone etiquette to assist with reservations and inquiries Maintain organized waitlists and seating charts using restaurant table management systems such as Toast POS and OpenTable. Assist with guest services by addressing special requests, providing menus, and guiding guests to their tables promptly Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness of the host station and adhering to health regulations Collaborate with the service team to ensure smooth flow of guest seating and timely service delivery Experience Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred Strong background in restaurant reservation management and guest services Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Toast POS or Open Table is highly desirable Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette Demonstrated organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow effectively Basic math skills for handling seating calculations and reservation adjustments Experience with food service operations or hospitality environments is a plus Join us at The Fort where your welcoming spirit will help craft unforgettable dining moments.
