Part-time. Note - this is not a seasonal position. Randall's Restaurant is looking for a Host to join our experienced front-of-house team.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is friendly, an excellent communicator, and able to work well as part of a team. Candidate must be great with organization, ensuring that reservations are correct, guests are seated in a timely manner, and that the front and back of house staff are kept informed of reservations throughout the evening. They must be able to stand for extended periods and should be prepared to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The position is part-time and includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Experience is preferred, though not necessary, and training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

Greeting guests and providing excellent customer service. Full knowledge of the menu with the ability to answer any guests' inquiries. Assigning guests to tables and monitoring seating situations at all times. Multi-tasking by answering phone calls, taking reservations, answering guest questions, and handling take-out orders. Helping out with other positions/duties in the restaurant as needed.

Requirements:

Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff. Ability to work independently and multi-task. Computer knowledge is helpful. Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed. Ability to stand/be on your feet for 5+ hours. Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary. Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system. Must be at least 16 years old.

Work Setting:

The position is part-time . Open regularly from Tuesday-Saturday (4:00 pm on). Private events may be booked outside our normal business hours. Weekend and Holiday availability is expected and required for consideration.
