Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize table utilization Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems and coordinate waitlists efficiently Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations while practicing proper phone etiquette Maintain organized restaurant table management systems to ensure timely seating and turnover Communicate effectively with team members regarding guest needs, special requests, and seating updates Support food service staff by providing accurate guest counts and seating assignments Uphold food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health regulations in all guest interactions Qualifications Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as OpenTable or Resy is highly desirable Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interactions Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor Join our dynamic team where your enthusiasm makes every guest feel valued!
