Job Description

Position Summary:
The Host/Hostess at The Beach Club at The Sea Pines Resort serves as the welcoming face of our premier oceanfront dining experience. This role is responsible for creating a warm, polished, and memorable first impression for every guest. The Host/Hostess manages reservations, guest flow, and seating while delivering attentive, personalized service that reflects the resort's luxury standards and coastal hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor upon arrival and departure Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments efficiently Escort guests to tables and provide menus Maintain an accurate seating chart to support service flow and table turnover Communicate effectively with servers, management, and kitchen staff regarding table status and guest needs Answer phones, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area Anticipate guest needs and accommodate special requests when possible Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary Uphold The Sea Pines Resort service standards at all times
Qualifications:
Previous hospitality, hosting, or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Professional appearance and demeanor Strong organizational and multitasking skills Positive, guest-focused attitude Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments
Work Environment:
Upscale, oceanfront dining setting within a luxury resort Fast-paced, guest-focused atmosphere High level of interaction with guests and team members
