Dining Room Manager / Food & Beverage Manager Position Summary The Host/Hostess serves as the first and last impression for members and guests dining at the club. This position is responsible for warmly welcoming members and guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, coordinating table flow with service staff, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience through professional and attentive service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet members and guests promptly with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude. Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments efficiently. Escort members and guests to their tables and provide menus as needed. Maintain accurate knowledge of dining room layouts, table status, and reservations. Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow. Answer phone calls, take dining reservations, and provide information regarding club events and dining hours. Monitor dining room activity to optimize seating and guest satisfaction. Assist members and guests with special requests and accommodate seating preferences whenever possible. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas. Thank members and guests upon departure and invite them to return. Assist with light administrative tasks related to reservations and member communications. Support dining room operations during special events, banquets, and club functions. Uphold club standards for service, appearance, and professionalism. Qualifications Previous customer service, hospitality, or restaurant experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to remain calm and courteous during busy periods. Basic computer and reservation system skills preferred. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to reach, bend, and move throughout the dining room as needed. The Host/Hostess is expected to maintain the highest level of hospitality and professionalism while creating a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
