Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting and seating customers, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth flow of the dining experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, organizational abilities, and familiarity with restaurant management systems. The Host/Hostess will also handle phone communication, manage waitlists, and coordinate delivery orders through platforms such as Doordash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently. Use POS systems and restaurant table management software to track reservations and seating. Answer phone inquiries professionally, assist with reservations, and take delivery orders via third-party platforms like Doordash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. Manage waitlists and notify guests when their tables are ready. Ensure food safety standards are maintained in the front-of-house area. Maintain organizational skills to keep the host/hostess station tidy and information up-to-date. Assist with basic math calculations related to seating capacity and order management. Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests. Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during busy hours. Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant table management software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for phone interactions and guest engagement. Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlists, and order management. Knowledge of food safety standards is a plus. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to represent the restaurant positively.
