Job Description
We are looking for friendly, dependable Event Hosts/Hostesses to join the team at a private event venue in Lehi, Utah. The Host/Hostess is one of the main points of contact for clients during events. This role focuses on providing a welcoming experience, offering helpful guidance throughout the event day, and ensuring the venue stays organized, clean, and running smoothly. This is considered a side-gig/occasional role rather than a traditional part-time position with guaranteed weekly hours. Event volume varies, and most hosts average approximately 7-10 hours per week. We maintain a small team of hosts and schedule shifts based on each employee's availability. Key Responsibilities Welcome clients, guests, and vendors and provide a friendly, professional experience Answer questions about the venue, event schedule, and available amenities Assist with arranging tables, chairs, and basic event setup Provide simple guidance on the venue's sound system and equipment Be available throughout events for venue-related questions and needs Address client concerns and communicate issues to management when necessary Keep the venue tidy throughout events, including managing trash, straightening furniture, and monitoring restrooms Assist with end-of-event procedures and venue closing Conduct venue tours for prospective clients during an allotted time each week Walk prospective clients through the space, explain venue amenities, and provide a welcoming first impression Scheduling & Availability Scheduling is flexible and based on employee availability, making this a great position for someone balancing school, another job, or other commitments. Hosts are asked to provide any dates they are unavailable at least 30 days in advance. Evening and weekend availability is helpful due to the nature of events. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, punctual, comfortable talking with new people, and able to work independently. The right person should be willing to take initiative, stay calm when unexpected situations arise, and create a positive experience for both event clients and prospective clients touring the venue.
