Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lobby Attendant to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring the lobby area remains spotless, safe, and inviting for all guests and visitors. Your proactive approach to cleanliness, safety, and customer service will help create a memorable experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Duties Maintain a clean and inviting lobby environment by performing floor cleaning, vacuuming, and general custodial tasks using appropriate cleaning equipment. Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel emergency procedures. Conduct routine sanitation of high-touch surfaces and public areas to ensure hygiene standards are met consistently. Assist guests with inquiries or directions courteously, providing excellent customer service at all times. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or equipment safely during cleaning routines. Follow proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury while managing janitorial or custodial tasks. Ensure safety protocols are adhered to during all cleaning activities, including proper chemical handling and industrial cleaning procedures. Qualifications Previous custodial or janitorial experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping management is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, and polishing floors. Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops is essential. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) is required. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards is advantageous.
