Job Description
Seaway Inn is a small, 20-room hotel in a high-traffic beach area. We are hiring a dependable part-time Front Desk Agent to handle guest service, reservations, and daily front desk procedures. Located right on the beach with views of the ocean and the Boardwalk, we're in the heart of all the summer fun. This is a great fit for someone upbeat who enjoys being part of people's vacations and helping guests make the most of their stay. This is a flexible coverage role, ideal for someone local with an open schedule who can work both morning and evening shifts. Starting at roughly 2 days per week, with potential for additional hours based on business needs. What You'll Do Check guests in and out and handle basic guest requests Answer phones, respond to guest questions, and communicate clearly and calmly Manage reservations and guest profiles Take payments, follow deposit and cancellation policy procedures, and document actions clearly Coordinate room status with housekeeping Coordinate with other shifts Maintain a clean, organized front desk and back office What We Need Reliable and available on short notice for coverage during the busy season Best fit for someone without a conflicting job or school schedule Flexible, open availability across AM (8-4) and PM (4-12) shifts Reliable attendance and strong punctuality Comfort using computers, email, and basic systems Professional communication and good judgment with guests and vendors Ability to work weekends and some holidays Able to stand, walk, and manage a front desk environment Preferred (Not Required) Prior hotel front desk or customer service experience Santa Cruz local or student with stable availability
