Position Summary The Guest Experiences Specialist at The New Inn is a hybrid role that oversees daily housekeeping and front desk operations, managing inventory for cleaning supplies, tools, and linens. The role includes conducting weekly inspections of villas, equipment, and grounds, and reporting repair needs, supply shortages, and linen rotations to management. The employee ensures daily operations meet management standards and assists with resolving guest complaints related to cleanliness and service. When necessary, they step in to cover staffing gaps to maintain seamless operations and a high level of guest satisfaction. Strong attention to detail, customer service, and teamwork are key qualities for this role. The ideal candidate understands how to balance both housekeeping and front desk duties responsibly.
Responsibilities:
Provide housekeeping services to guest villas, inside and outside of the property, and assist in other duties to hotel standards and expectations. Clean and sanitize villas, bathrooms, and common areas thoroughly, ensuring all bedding, linens, and towels are replaced and amenities are restocked. Change and make beds with fresh linens, ensuring they are presented neatly for incoming quests. Wash, dry, fold, and store bed linens, towels, and other washable items used throughout the property. Regularly clean and maintain communal guest areas, such as lobby area, guest hallways, and amenities, ensuring a welcoming and spotless environment for guests. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and guest amenities in villas and common areas, reporting any shortages to management for reordering. Inspect the property for any maintenance needs, such as broken fixtures, and report them to the owner or general manager for timely repairs. Remove trash from all areas, ensuring proper disposal. Prepare and break down weekly breakfast items to health and safety standards to be delivered to guests. Process guest reservations, check-ins, and check-outs promptly and accurately, ensuring smooth transitions and attention to special requests. Maintain guest information and billing details with accuracy and confidentiality. Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely manner through phone and email, providing solutions that enhance overall satisfaction and encourage repeat visits. Maintain open lines of communication with housekeeping, maintenance, and other staff members to ensure all guest needs are met. Act as a knowledgeable resource for guest by recommending local restaurants, wineries, activities, and attractions that align with the hotel's brand and guest preferences. Maintain a neat, professional, and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues.
Job Specifications:
Understanding of various cleaning methods for different surfaces (e.g., carpets, tiles, glass) and proper use of cleaning products. Basic knowledge of hotel facilities and ability to recognize signs of needed maintenance or repair. Ability to spot imperfections or cleanliness issues that could affect guest satisfaction (e.g., stains, dust, missing items). Skill in efficiently managing time to clean villas or complete tasks. Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills. Ability to identify and resolve issues related to housekeeping, guest concerns, or unexpected situations. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks like bending, lifting, standing for extended periods, and moving housekeeping carts. Capable of handling multiple cleaning tasks in different areas, often under time constraints, without compromising quality. Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules, guest needs, or other hotel demands. Organization skills to keep workspaces, supply closets, and carts organized for efficiency and ease of access. Strong attendance and reliability in completing daily tasks consistently and on time. Job Qualifications and Requirements At least 21 years of age Riverside County Food Handlers License (must be obtained prior to first post-training shift) Reliable transportation At least 2 years of hospitality/housekeeping experience in a resort, hotel, or large/multi-room establishment Positive recommendation from previous employer Committed to working a minimum of 20 hours per week

Exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals and substances Ability to lift 30 pounds over your head Physical work involves repetitive tasks, including housekeeping duties, long-term standing, and lifting objects weighing over 50 pounds repeatedly
