The Front Desk Agent will assist guests with the check-in and check-out processes, issue room keys, and process payments. Responsibilities also include maintaining communication with housekeeping staff to coordinate room availability, answering guest inquiries, and completing paperwork promptly and accurately. The Front Desk Agent must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to stay positive even when faced with challenging situations. Your goal is to provide guests with an exceptional customer service experience. First shift workers also keep the breakfast stocked and cleaned during breakfast hours and then tear down and clean up when breakfast ends. Cleaning duties include Dishes, wiping off surfaces, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming. Kitchen sanitation and standards must be followed. Food Handlers Certificate is needed. Responsibilities Monitor the maintain knowledge of hotel operations and activities Take reservations and answer questions via phone, email, and in-person Build rapport with guests and identify their needs through friendly conversation and open-ended questions Describe the features and amenities of guest rooms Ensure compliance with health and quality standards washing, drying, folding and putting away laundry receive and put away incoming deliveries, rotating items first in first out Take out trash and keep trash can clean Cleaning in Front Desk, public areas, back laundry room area and Lounge/Breakfast area Answering telephone calls, emails Communication with General Manager of property Check guests in and out of facility Create, modify or cancel room reservations \"Open\" the pool every morning Qualifications Friendly and outgoing personality Familiarity with hospitality industry standards Proficient in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus Computer literacy Able to resolve issues with a customer-focused orientation Able to lift 30 pounds Because we have an on site beer and wine lounge must be at least 21 years of age High School Diploma or GED equivalent Be able to stand for up to 8 hour shift Be able to type at least 35 words per minute
