Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Person to join our dynamic facilities team. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC units, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct plumbing repairs and maintenance on pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems to ensure optimal operation. Carry out carpentry tasks such as repairs or modifications to interior structures and furniture. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform maintenance painting, drywall repairs, or other building interior maintenance tasks. Maintain facilities equipment by replacing parts, welding metal components when necessary, and ensuring all systems operate efficiently. Follow schematics and technical manuals for complex systems like programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and HVAC controls. Support maintenance painting projects with attention to detail for residential or commercial spaces. Assist with electrical equipment repair projects involving electrical work or troubleshooting using specialized tools like ohmmeters. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes while delivering excellent customer service to internal clients. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role with a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge and technical troubleshooting skills. Hands-on experience with electrical work including electrical equipment repair and system troubleshooting. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair along with HVAC system diagnosis and repair capabilities. Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and HVAC controls is highly desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and ohmmeters for various repair tasks. Knowledge of building interior maintenance practices including carpentry, painting (maintenance painting/residential painting), plumbing, electrical work, and general facilities upkeep. Strong communication skills in English to effectively document work orders, safety reports, and communicate with team members or vendors. Leadership qualities to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all maintenance activities.
