This position is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, handling check-in and check-out procedures, managing reservations and responding to inquiries in person, by phone and via email. The Guest Service Agent assists guests with local information, directions and recommendations to enhance their stay and reflect the neighborhood focused ethos of Hotel Indigo. Daily tasks include processing payments, resolving guest concerns, coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance and ensuring that lobby and front desk areas remain organized and inviting. The role requires consistent adherence to brand standards, clear communication with team members and a strong commitment to delivering attentive, professional service. Qualifications Strong customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to create a welcoming, guest focused environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and clear, professional interactions with guests and colleagues. Basic administrative and computer skills, including experience with reservation or property management systems and standard office software. Problem solving and conflict resolution abilities, with sound judgment and attention to detail when handling guest issues and requests. Ability to work on site, including flexible scheduling (evenings, weekends and holidays as needed). Previous front desk, hotel or customer facing experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of or interest in the local neighborhood, attractions, dining and culture to provide personalized recommendations. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or tourism is an advantage.
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
