Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Reservationist & Guest Experience Specialist . This role is critical to daily operations and serves as the first point of contact for guests. You will manage reservations, assist with check-ins, support retail and rental operations, and ensure every guest has a seamless and memorable experience from arrival to departure. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate reservations for surf lessons, rentals, and ocean experiences Welcome guests upon arrival and facilitate smooth check-in and waiver processes Provide accurate information regarding lesson offerings, conditions, and scheduling Assist with surfboard, bike, and equipment rentals, ensuring proper sizing and guest readiness Support retail store operations, including sales, merchandising, and inventory upkeep Process payments and maintain accurate records within the reservation system (FareHarbor or equivalent) Communicate effectively with instructors and management to ensure proper scheduling and guest flow Deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions Act as a knowledgeable resource on Montauk activities, ocean conditions, and resort amenities Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and retail environment Assist with additional operational tasks as needed to support the team Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality, retail, reservations, or customer service preferred Strong communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using reservation systems, POS systems, and basic technology (iPads, computers, etc.) Familiarity with the Montauk is a plus Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Passion for surfing, ocean activities, and delivering exceptional guest experiences Why Join Us Work in a dynamic, oceanfront environment in Montuak Be part of a passionate and high-performing team Opportunity to grow within a leading surf experience brand Engage with guests from around the world and create lasting memories If you are a motivated team player with a passion for hospitality and the ocean, we encourage you to apply.
