Job Description
Description We are looking for a hospitality-focused Pantry Assistant to support a welcoming workplace experience in New York, New York. This Contract position is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping shared spaces organized, stocked, and ready for daily use while providing friendly support to employees and guests. The role suits a dependable team member who can help maintain smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain pantry, kitchen, and beverage stations throughout the day to ensure they remain clean, orderly, and fully supplied.
- Prepare meeting rooms and common areas with refreshments, snacks, and service items in advance of internal gatherings and guest visits.
- Monitor inventory levels for food, drinks, and hospitality supplies, and communicate restocking needs promptly.
- Receive, organize, and store deliveries related to pantry and office hospitality operations with attention to cleanliness and rotation.
- Provide courteous assistance to employees and visitors by responding to routine hospitality needs in a timely manner.
- Support broader front-of-house coverage when needed, including helping provide backup during planned absences or unexpected callouts.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and sanitation standards to maintain a well-kept office environment. Requirements
- Basic office skills and the ability to work effectively in a detail-oriented corporate setting.
- Prior experience in hospitality, pantry support, office services, or a similar customer-facing environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to keep shared spaces consistently neat and presentable.
- Reliable communication skills and a service-oriented approach when assisting staff and guests.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and adapt to changing daily priorities.
- Capable of standing, walking, lifting light supplies, and handling routine physical tasks associated with pantry upkeep.
