This role serves as the first point of contact for guests and helps create a welcoming and positive hotel experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Service Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to guest requests and concerns. Assist guests with information regarding hotel services, amenities, and local attractions. Resolve guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary. Front Desk Operations Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently. Handle reservations, cancellations, room assignments, and payment transactions. Answer and direct incoming phone calls. Maintain accurate guest records and documentation. Balance cash drawer and complete shift reports as required. Communication & Coordination Communicate effectively with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Management regarding guest needs and room status. Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or suspicious activity promptly. Assist with coordinating guest requests and special accommodations. Administrative Duties Maintain a clean and organized front desk area. Follow company policies, procedures, and brand standards. Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as assigned. Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by Leadership. Safety & Security Follow hotel safety and emergency procedures. Maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information. Ensure compliance with hotel security policies and cash handling procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn hotel management systems. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to use computers, phones, and office equipment regularly. Preferred Skills Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS). Cash handling and basic accounting skills. Bilingual skills are a plus. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
