The Juniata Valley YMCA seeks to hire highly motivated part-time Front Desk Employees for early morning, day, night, and weekend shifts. Must possess strong communication/customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, quick learner and must be dependable and flexible. Applications are now being accepted.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Worker to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. If you have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a friendly demeanor, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and provide them with a warm welcome
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently and accurately
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
- Assist with reservations and event planning
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and photocopying
- Ensure phone systems are properly operated and messages are relayed promptly
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Promotes memberships and programs.
- Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a customer service rep or similar role
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computerized systems for administrative tasks
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and handling customer inquiries
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work as a team player
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
