Job Description
Front Desk Associate The Lodge at Chalk Hill is looking to hire a Part-Time, Front Desk Associate/ Housekeeper. Training would occur in both departments and a schedule would be based on hotel occupancy and company need. Candidates must be willing to work in both departments as needed. Essential functions include but are not limited to problem solving, customer service, strong verbal and written communication, professional judgement, safety and security, adaptability, and initiative. This individual will be reporting directly to the General Manager, maintaining smooth operations daily and troubleshooting any issues/concerns. The Front Desk Associate is required to work with all motel staff and provide hands on support as needed. Preferred qualifications include experience with reservation software, knowledge of room operations, guest services, and working in a fast-paced environment. Non-essential functions include but are not limited to assisting with laundry, banquet/event support, and maintaining a clean lobby and restrooms. Individual must be able and willing to set up and take down tables and chairs, move up to 50 pounds, and walk the property as needed. Successful candidates may be offered full-time hours as the travel season progresses. Candidates who are interested in split positions that include front desk, laundry, and housekeeping are eligible for additional hours and an increased hourly rate upon satisfactory completion of training. The hours are flexible but, individual must be able to work weekends and holidays. Competitive pay is commensurate with experience.
