Job Description

Kentuck Knob is a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Usonian house set in the Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania, close to Fallingwater. The property is open to the public for guided house tours, with walking trails and a sculpture garden featuring outdoor artworks, alongside a gift shop and an active group tour program. Frank Lloyd Wright's House on Kentuck Knob is seeking Tour Guides to provide the best possible experience to each of our visitors. This is a part-time, seasonal position. Each touring season at Kentuck Knob runs from March to December. Upon hiring, training lasts approximately 2 to 3 weeks. We are seeking guides who can lead tours between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Shifts and scheduling are flexible within reason. Some weekend availability is essential. Duties/Responsibilities of Tour Guides Lead tours of the house Act as a host at the house as needed Assist in the Visitor Center with the various task as needed Have the aptitude and interest in learning the history of Kentuck Knob, Frank Lloyd Wright, and our sculptures Public speaking ability Tour Guide Requirements Bachelor's degree desirable but not required High level of interest in architecture and art Must be willing and available to work weekends A friendly, welcoming, and patient demeanor is essential Should genuinely enjoy interacting with the public
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
