JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is primarily 3pm
- 11pm, but may require covering a 7am
- 3pm or a 11pm
- 7am as needed Working under the direction of the Front Desk Manager, Front Desk Supervisor and General Manager.
Following activities listed on checklist, various marketing duties given by other Managers. Creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing on brand standards, guest relations and IHG Rewards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Returns:
- Responsible for cash drawer contents and transactions
- Maintains accurate records including cash flow
PEOPLE:
- Working as a team to ensure our guests feel valued and are provided the highest level of customer service
GUEST EXPERIENCE
- Respond to guest complaints or concerns in a prompt and professional manner
- Counting and accounting for cash bank
- Stock items for front desk and back office
- Greet, registers, and assign rooms to guest
- Handles confidential information with a high degree of integrity
- Answers and routes calls as appropriate; takes guest messages with accuracy, and handle any fax needs
- Offers and properly handles request for wake-up calls
- Records pertinent guest information in the front desk log
- Ensures common area, lobby and back office are clean
- Performs laundry functions as directed
- All other duties as assigned
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests
- Comply with federal, state and local laws regarding alcohol services
- Maintain procedures for security of lost and found items
- Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently
ACCOUNTABILITY
Working together with all departments as a team in professional and dependable manner.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 1.
Knowledge of the hotel layout, amenities offered and all procedures and organization. 2. Knowledge of local geographic area businesses and services, major highway/street information, and community events and attractions 3. Ability to use effective word choice, grammar and tone when communicating 4. Ability to use Word, or Excel 5. High school diploma or equivalent 6. Fold or clean laundry
