Visit us at www.depalmahotels.com Position Summary We are seeking a friendly, dependable and service-oriented Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our Guest Services team. The Hotel Front Desk Agent serves as one of the first and most important points of contact for our guests. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, completing check-ins and checkouts, managing reservations and guest accounts, processing payments, responding to questions and requests, and helping resolve concerns throughout the guest's stay. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, communicating with guests from a variety of backgrounds, managing multiple priorities and coordinating closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales and hotel leadership. Responsibilities Welcome guests with friendly, attentive and professional service. Complete guest check-ins, checkouts and room assignments accurately and efficiently. Verify reservation, identification and payment information according to hotel procedures. Make, modify and cancel reservations using the hotel's property-management and reservation systems. Process cash, credit-card and other guest payments accurately. Maintain accurate guest accounts, room charges, payment information and supporting documentation. Answer incoming telephone calls and respond professionally to guest and reservation inquiries. Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, services, meeting facilities and the Denton area. Assist guests with requests throughout their stay and follow through to ensure appropriate resolution. Respond professionally to guest concerns and service-recovery situations and involve management when needed. Promote Marriott Bonvoy membership and assist guests with applicable program information. Communicate room-status information and guest needs with Housekeeping. Report maintenance concerns promptly and coordinate with Engineering when guestroom or public-area repairs are needed. Coordinate with Sales and hotel leadership regarding groups, meetings, events and special guest requirements. Monitor arrivals, departures, special requests and other relevant shift information. Complete required shift checklists, reports, logs and handoff communications. Maintain the cleanliness, organization and professional appearance of the front desk and lobby area. Protect guest privacy, hotel funds, keys and confidential business information. Follow established cash-handling, credit-card and payment-security procedures. Follow hotel safety, security, emergency and incident-reporting procedures. Assist with guest packages, deliveries and other front-desk responsibilities as assigned. Support other hotel departments when reasonably necessary to provide excellent guest service and maintain smooth hotel operations. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned. Qualifications The ideal candidate is approachable, dependable and genuinely enjoys helping people. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to remain professional when handling multiple requests or challenging guest situations. Required Must be at least 18 years of age. Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer, typing and data-entry proficiency. Ability to accurately process guest payments and perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to learn hotel property-management, reservation and guest-service systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Ability to respond appropriately to guest concerns and changing operational needs. Ability to protect confidential guest, payment and hotel information. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Reliable transportation. Availability to work weekends and holidays based on hotel business needs. Preferred Previous hotel front-desk, Guest Service Agent or Guest Service Representative experience. Previous customer-service experience in hospitality, travel, retail or another guest-facing environment. Marriott-branded hotel experience. Experience using a hotel property-management or reservation system. Familiarity with Marriott Bonvoy and Marriott guest-service standards. Previous cash-handling and credit-card processing experience. Experience working with groups, meetings or event guests. Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
