Job Description

Job Summary:
The Best Western Plus in Lufkin is looking for a reliable, personable, and service-driven Guest Service Associate to join our front desk team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience for every guest. If you're the type who can handle check-ins with a smile, solve problems on the fly, and still keep things running smoothly when it gets busy—you'll fit right in.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests and provide efficient check-in and check-out service Make and modify reservations using Visual Matrix (PMS experience a plus) Respond to guest requests and resolve concerns promptly and professionally Answer phones and assist with general hotel inquiries Set up and maintain event/meeting spaces as needed Occasionally drive scheduled shuttle runs for corporate clients and weddings Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth operation
Qualifications:
Strong customer service and communication skills Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality Comfortable multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment Must be available to work evenings and weekends Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance required (for shuttle driving) Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred, but not required
