Part-Time /
Fill-In Front Desk Agent Pay:
$16.00 per hour, depending on experience Are you the kind of person who can roll with the punches, jump in when the team needs you, and make guests feel welcome while doing it? Then we may be looking for YOU! Candlewood Suites Sheridan is looking for a Floating Front Desk Agent to join our team. This is a fill-in position designed to help keep our front desk covered when we have call-outs, vacations, busy periods, or scheduling gaps. What makes this position different? This is NOT a set-shift position. We need someone who is genuinely flexible and willing to work mornings, evenings, and overnight/graveyard shifts as needed. Your schedule may change from week to week, so flexibility is a must. Some weeks you may work a morning shift, another week an evening, and occasionally you may be needed for a graveyard shift. We're looking for someone who can say, "Yep, I can help!" when the team needs an extra hand. What You'll Do Welcome guests with a friendly, positive attitude Check guests in and out and assist with reservations Answer phones and respond to guest questions Handle guest requests and resolve issues professionally Make sure guests know about our hotel amenities and local area Maintain a clean, welcoming front desk and lobby Process payments and complete basic front desk paperwork Communicate important information with the rest of the team Assist with whatever needs to be done to keep the hotel running smoothly Follow IHG and Candlewood Suites standards and procedures Provide excellent customer service — even when things get a little crazy! What We're Looking For Must have: Excellent customer service skills Reliable attendance and a dependable attitude Ability to work independently Ability to stay calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations Basic computer skills Strong communication skills Must be willing and able to work mornings, evenings, and overnight/graveyard shifts as needed Must have a flexible schedule and be comfortable being called in to help when coverage is needed Hotel/front desk experience is a plus, but not required. We can teach you the hotel side of things. What we can't teach is reliability, a good attitude, and genuinely caring about people. Who Will Do Well Here?
