This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing teams, creating a great guest experience, and keeping hotel operations running smoothly. Working closely with the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will provide leadership across hotel operations, with a strong focus on Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and Marriott brand standards. What You'll Do Assist the General Manager with the overall day-to-day operation of the hotel Provide hands-on leadership and support to Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other operational departments Recruit, train, coach, and develop associates while building a positive and accountable team environment Monitor guest feedback and service scores and take action to improve the overall guest experience Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and JL Hospitality Management policies and procedures Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, appearance, and operational readiness Respond to guest concerns and operational challenges quickly and professionally Assist with labor management, scheduling, purchasing, inventory, expense control, and other financial objectives Review hotel performance and operational reports and assist in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service, and profitability Partner with Sales and other departments to support occupancy, revenue, and overall hotel performance Serve as a manager on duty and provide leadership during emergencies or unexpected operational situations Support the General Manager with additional projects and responsibilities as needed What We're Looking For 3+ years of hotel operations or management experience Previous leadership experience in Front Office, Housekeeping, or multi-department hotel operations Marriott experience strongly preferred Experience with Marriott systems and brand standards is a plus Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to coach associates, hold teams accountable, and build strong working relationships Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable reviewing operational and financial performance and identifying opportunities for improvement Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel management systems Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but equivalent hotel leadership experience will be considered Ability to work a flexible schedule based on hotel needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Why Join Us?
