Job Description
The Residence Inn by Marriott in beautiful Sedona, AZ is looking for their next amazing Front Office Supervisor to join a great team of associates looking for their next wonderful leader! This position will function as a crucial leader for the property, spearheading best-in-class customer service, handling daily guest requests and issues, and acting as the MOD when the Assistant Manager is not present. The shifts for this position can vary based on needs of the hotel, but will have both evening and weekend availability required. The primary shift worked will be a mid shift, roughly 12:00pm-8:30pm, with opportunity for AM shift desk coverage, PM shift desk coverage, and overnight desk coverage, some of which is last minute. The perfect candidate for this job loves to train team members on ways we can be better, celebrate team members on ways they are excelling, enjoys providing exceptional customer service to every guest, and is able to make good, thoughtful decisions to solve problems for staff and guests as they arise. Although not required, a strong background in leading a customer service team is strongly preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs functions of Guest Service Agent as scheduled by Management Provides training, including safety training, to front office staff as directed by Management Assists in the selection of Guest Service Agents Assists in scheduling front desk personnel within budget guidelines to assure adequate staffing Maintains accurate records including cash flow sheet, direct bill accounts, credit card payments, registration cards, and reservation cards Corresponds with group and travel agents to answer special requests for rooms and rates Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed Assigns duties to Guest Service Agents and observes performance to ensure adherence to franchise standards, hotel policies and established operating procedures Answers inquires pertaining to hotel policies and services Performs functions of the General Manager in their absence Assists General Manager in conducting staff meetings All other duties as assignedCOMPETENCY
