Job Description
Harbor View Inn is seeking an experienced, hands-on onsite inn management team or individual to oversee our charming 17-room boutique property in El Granada. This role is ideal for a couple looking to live and work together on a beautiful coastal property, dividing duties like guest relations, operations, and business strategy. Prior hotel operations experience is required. We need professionals who thrive in a personalized guest-service environment, possess a strong understanding of revenue driving, and will manage the property with dedicated care.
Key Responsibilities Revenue Management:
Optimize room rates, manage occupancy strategies, track local market trends, and oversee listings across Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) like Expedia and Booking.com.Daily Operations:
Oversee front desk, guest check-ins/check-outs, and daily property walkthroughs.Guest Relations:
Provide exceptional, personalized service to guests, handling inquiries and resolving issues swiftly.Housekeeping & Maintenance:
Supervise housekeeping staff, manage room turnarounds, and coordinate routine property maintenance.Onsite Presence:
Live on-property in the provided 2-bedroom apartment to handle after-hours guest needs or emergencies.Admin & Inventory:
Assist with basic accounting, local vendor relations, and property supply management.Qualifications Required Experience:
Prior experience working directly in hotel operations, inn management, or property management.Revenue Management Skills:
Proven background adjusting room pricing based on seasonality, weekend demand, and local events to maximize profitability.Boutique Mindset:
Experience in boutique hotels, bed-and-breakfasts, or small-scale hospitality properties is highly preferred.Skills:
Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and a warm, welcoming demeanor.Reliability:
