This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands hotel front desk operations and is ready to take greater ownership of the guest experience, team performance, and day-to-day operations. You'll work directly alongside the front desk team, coach and train Guest Service Representatives, resolve guest concerns, coordinate group and VIP arrivals, and help ensure both hotels operate consistently and efficiently. What You'll Do Provide hands-on leadership and supervision of front desk operations across both hotels Work scheduled front desk shifts and provide coverage when operationally necessary Coach, train, and support Guest Service Representatives Lead shift huddles and communicate occupancy, arrivals, groups, VIPs, and operational priorities Monitor arrivals, departures, reservations, room inventory, billing, and special requests Resolve escalated guest concerns and service-recovery situations Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure room readiness and resolve operational issues Review front desk checklists, logs, cash-handling documentation, and shift transitions Support scheduling and staffing coverage based on occupancy and business needs Review Night Audit processes and follow up on recurring errors or incomplete work Monitor guest feedback and help identify opportunities to improve service Coordinate with the Area Sales Team on groups, rooming lists, billing instructions, special requests, and VIP arrivals Train and onboard new front desk team members Reinforce attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and performance expectations Support hotel leadership with operational projects and initiatives What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of hotel front desk experience required Previous Front Desk Supervisor, Lead Guest Service Representative, or similar leadership experience strongly preferred Hilton and/or Marriott experience preferred Experience with hotel property management systems such as PEP, FOSSE, or similar platforms Strong guest-service and service-recovery skills Ability to coach employees and provide clear, professional feedback Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during busy operations and guest escalations Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs About the Role This is a working supervisor position , not a primarily administrative role. The Guest Service Supervisor maintains a regular presence at the front desk and works directly with the team while also providing leadership, coaching, operational oversight, and follow-up. The position supports both the Hampton Inn & Suites and Home2 Suites within the same hotel complex . The hotels are located next to one another and movement between them is within the complex; driving between properties is not required.
