Job Description
Harbor View Inn is a 4-Diamond beachfront hotel that is currently accepting applications for a Front Office Manager. The Front Office Manager is a hands-on, front-facing leader responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the hotel. It is a full-time position with great benefits. Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule with open availability, including weekends and holidays. They must possess excellent customer service skills, be able to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail, and be comfortable professionally handling conflict. Previous hotel and management experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Front Desk and Bell staff, and guest services.
- Perform all duties at the Front Desk as necessary
- Anticipate guest needs and handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure smooth check-in and check-out procedures for guests.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training and supervising front desk staff to provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest needs and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, transactions, and reservations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory management.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Requirements:
- Previous Hotel Front Desk experience is preferred.
- Management and/or Supervisory experience is required.
- Flexibility and open availability including mornings, evenings, and holidays based on the hotel's needs.
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Proficient in using phone systems and other computer programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to supervise staff and maintain a strong leadership role.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of hotel operations and reservation systems is a plus.
- Confident handling guests and employee conflict and complaints in a professional and timely manner
Pay:
$60,000.00- $70,000.
