Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Resident Motel Manager/Couple to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality property. In this vital leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, and maintaining the overall efficiency of the motel. Motel Management Responsibilities Front desk operations: guest check-in/check-out, reservations, and phone inquiries Collect payments and maintain accurate daily records Respond to guest needs and resolve complaints promptly and professionally Conduct regular property walks to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security Oversee and coordinate housekeeping staff; inspect rooms after cleaning Coordinate with ownership for repairs; handle minor maintenance issues directly Enforce property rules and handle difficult guest situations calmly Monitor and report any unusual activity; ensure property security overnight Maintain supply inventory and communicate reorder needs to owner Communicate daily with ownership and provide regular property updates Qualifications Prior experience in motel, hotel, or property management strongly preferred Couples preferred — combined skill sets (e.g., front desk + maintenance/housekeeping) are a strong advantage Must be comfortable living on-site and available for after-hours situations Strong communication and customer service skills Basic computer skills (property management system, email) Reliable, organized, and self-motivated Must pass background check. Valid ID required; must be authorized to work in the U.S. Compensation Starting at $2,500/month salary Private 1BR/1BA residence — kitchen/dining, living room, all utilities included (market value $3,000-$3,500/month) Total compensation package value: $5,500-$6,000/month Access to Santa Clara Unified School District including top-ranked Millikin Elementary Stable, long-term position with an owner who values great management
