Full-Time Position Summary The Hotel Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in the daily operation of the hotel and helps ensure a safe, welcoming, and high-quality experience for guests. This position provides leadership and supervision to hotel staff, assists with guest relations, monitors operational standards, and helps maintain efficient front-office and property operations. Essential Responsibilities Assist the General Manager with the day-to-day operation of the hotel. Supervise, support, and motivate hotel employees to provide excellent guest service. Assist with scheduling, staffing, training, and performance management. Monitor front-desk operations, guest check-ins and check-outs, reservations, and guest requests. Respond professionally and promptly to guest complaints and concerns. Resolve operational issues and escalate significant matters to the General Manager when necessary. Ensure hotel policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently followed. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and other hotel facilities. Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, security, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Assist with cash handling, daily reports, deposits, and other administrative duties. Monitor inventory and supplies and communicate purchasing needs to management. Help ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and company policies. Assist with emergency procedures and respond appropriately to safety or security incidents. Maintain accurate records and complete required reports. Provide leadership coverage when the General Manager is unavailable. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or hospitality training preferred. Previous hotel, hospitality, customer service, or supervisory experience preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent customer-service and problem-solving abilities. Ability to remain professional and calm in stressful situations. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel management or reservation systems preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts as required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry supplies as reasonably required for hotel operations. Ability to move throughout the property and respond to operational needs. Key Performance Expectations The Hotel Assistant Manager is expected to: Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction. Support a positive and professional workplace environment. Ensure efficient daily hotel operations. Communicate effectively with employees, guests, vendors, and management. Protect hotel property, revenue, and confidential information. Represent the hotel professionally at all times.
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
