Full-Time | Evenings, Nights, Weekends & Holidays as Needed Position Summary Hyatt House Destin is seeking a dependable, energetic, and guest-focused PM Night Manager to oversee hotel operations during the evening shift. The PM Night Manager serves as the Manager on Duty , helping ensure a smooth transition from daytime operations into the overnight shift. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working directly with guests, supporting associates, solving problems, and maintaining a safe, welcoming hotel environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable making sound operational decisions, responding to guest concerns, assisting wherever needed, and setting the standard for hospitality throughout the evening. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience Serve as the Manager on Duty during assigned evening/night shifts. Maintain a visible presence in the lobby and public areas and actively engage with guests. Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, concerns, and service issues. Handle appropriate service recovery and follow up to ensure guest concerns are resolved. Support arrivals, departures, reservations, room assignments, and other front desk functions as needed. Promote a welcoming environment consistent with Hyatt's focus on caring and attentive service. [careers.hyatt.com], [indeed.com] Front Office & Evening Operations Oversee front desk and general hotel operations during the PM shift. Support and guide associates throughout the shift. Monitor hotel activity, room status, guest requests, and operational needs. Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering/Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues. Prepare the hotel and front desk for an organized transition to the overnight/night audit shift. Review important shift information and communicate outstanding issues to the appropriate manager or next shift. Leadership Lead by example and maintain a professional, positive working environment. Coach associates on guest service expectations and hotel procedures. Delegate responsibilities and ensure assigned duties are completed. Assist with training and development of Front Office associates. Address operational problems calmly and make appropriate decisions when senior leadership is not immediately available. Safety & Property Oversight Maintain awareness of activity throughout the hotel and surrounding property. Respond appropriately to guest disturbances, safety concerns, emergencies, and unusual situations. Document incidents and communicate significant matters to hotel leadership. Help ensure hotel policies and established safety and security practices are followed. Night-manager roles commonly involve supervising evening or overnight operations, handling escalated guest situations, making operational decisions when daytime management is unavailable, and supporting end-of-day operations. [jobdescription.org] Qualifications Preferred candidates will have: Previous hotel Front Desk, Guest Services, Night Audit, or supervisory experience. Strong guest-service and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependability and the ability to work independently. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working with hotel computer and property-management systems. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
