Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled General Manager for our hotel to lead and oversee all operational aspects of the property. This role requires a proactive leader with exceptional management capabilities, technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. As the driving force behind the hotel's success, you will ensure that facilities are maintained to the highest standards, safety regulations are strictly followed, and team members are motivated to excel. Your energetic leadership will foster a positive environment that promotes efficiency, safety, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth coordination between departments such as maintenance, housekeeping, front desk, and food services. Manage facilities maintenance teams, including supervising their work on HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical systems repair. Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations (OSHA) and industry best practices. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule inspections, track work orders, and manage maintenance records efficiently. Lead engineering troubleshooting efforts for complex mechanical or electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to high voltage, low voltage electrical systems, HVAC system repair, and industrial maintenance standards. Plan and manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs using project management principles to meet deadlines and budgets. Maintain detailed knowledge of mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage), plumbing system maintenance and repair. Enforce safety protocols across all areas of operations to protect staff and guests while maintaining regulatory compliance. Manage facilities management activities by supervising team members responsible for routine inspections, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance procedures. Experience Proven management experience in hotel operations or facilities management within a hospitality environment. Extensive supervising experience leading facilities maintenance teams or engineering departments. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems troubleshooting (including high voltage), plumbing maintenance, and industrial maintenance procedures. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, Ohmmeters, Voltmeters, and other diagnostic tools used in engineering troubleshooting. Experience working with OSHA safety regulations and implementing safety regulations across large facilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, scheduling, and communication purposes. Demonstrated project management skills for coordinating upgrades or repairs within complex environments. Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintaining maintenance records effectively. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
